Subject: Notice of the Commencement of the Public Consultation Process on Amendments to the “Methodology for Improving and Accounting for the Level of Carbon Sequestration in Soil in the Agricultural Sector”
Subject and Purpose of the Consultation
AGVISER JSC hereby announces the commencement of a public consultation process regarding the proposed amendments to the “Methodology for Improving and Accounting for the Level of Carbon Sequestration in Soil in the Agricultural Sector” (hereinafter referred to as the “Methodology”). Stakeholders and members of the public are invited to review and provide feedback on the proposed documents.
Purpose of the consultation: The purpose of this public consultation is to gather opinions from stakeholders, experts, and the public regarding the proposed amendments. The consultation aims to ensure that the proposed elements are comprehensive, transparent, and aligned with current best practices in carbon accounting, emissions reduction, and environmental integrity.

Proposed Amendments
- Introduction of a package of agricultural practices generating carbon credits, including one or more newly introduced regenerative agricultural practices or substantially improved existing management practices, as well as the eligibility criteria for such practices.
- Determination of soil bulk density to be carried out annually, with measurements performed:
- by soil type;
- for each cadastral area (EKATTE), based on a representative sample of land corresponding to the soil characteristics of the respective cadastral area, through the collection of representative soil samples.
- Establishment of deadlines for initiating the verification process.
Public Consultation Period
The public consultation period will run from 20.07.2026 to 19.08.2026. During this period, all interested parties are encouraged to review the proposed documentation and submit their comments.
